Riftbound: Radiance, the fifth set for Riot's League of Legends trading card game, releases in Australia on 23 October 2026, with Pre-Rift events at local game stores from 16 to 22 October.

Riot published the full set overview on 25 September. Here's what Australian collectors need to know.

When does Riftbound Radiance release in Australia?

23 October 2026.

Radiance launches in English, French and Simplified Chinese at the same time, which Riot says is the first set to do so.

16 to 22 October 2026

Pre-Rift, Riftbound's version of a prerelease, runs at participating local game stores. Each Pre-Rift kit holds 5 boosters plus seeded packs for the 9 new Legends, and there's a Heimerdinger promo while supplies last.

What's in a Radiance booster pack?

14 cards, drawn from a 180-card set with more than 60 Showcase variants.

  • 7 Commons
  • 3 Uncommons
  • 1 foil of any rarity from Common to Epic
  • 1 Rare or Epic
  • 1 slot that can be a Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt Art, Overnumbered or Ultimate Rare
  • 1 Token, Rune or alt-art Rune

How rare is the Radiance Ultimate Rare?

Roughly one in every 4,000 packs.

Riot puts the odds at about 0.025% of booster packs across the whole print run. It's only the second Ultimate Rare in Riftbound's history, and Riot hadn't revealed which card it is at the time of writing.

To put that in perspective: 4,000 packs is about 167 booster displays. At A$239.99 a box, that's around A$40,000 of product for one Ultimate Rare, on average. Most people who pull one won't have opened anywhere near that many, and most people who open that many still won't pull one.

Below that, the chase cards are the Overnumbered versions of the 9 new Legends (cards numbered beyond the main set list), some carrying the artist's signature, and the Special Alt Arts, which Riot says turn up at about the same rate as regular Alt Arts.

Who are the new Legends in Radiance?

9 of them. Riot has confirmed K'Sante, Orianna, Ekko, Kai'Sa and Ziggs, with the rest arriving through preview season, which runs into early October. Seraphine and Evelynn headline the Showdown Decks.

The set also brings 3 new keywords (Deploy, Show Off and Disarm), Equipment Units, Bomb tokens, and Neeko, the first neutral-domain Champion Unit.

Holding it sealed

If you're keeping a Radiance booster display sealed rather than opening it, ACRYLIX™ makes a Riftbound English Booster Box Acrylic Case sized for Radiance and every earlier English set.

The Riftbound booster box acrylic case is out of stock right now. We expect it back by the end of November. If you're interested, you can sign up for back in stock notifications.

Frequently asked questions

Is Riftbound Radiance released later in Australia?

No. 23 October 2026 is a worldwide date, with Pre-Rift from 16 October.

How many packs are in a Riftbound Radiance booster display?

24 packs of 14 cards, so 336 cards per booster box display.

Is there a Chinese or French version of Radiance?

Yes. Both launch on 23 October alongside English.

So where does this leave us?

With Radiance displays already sold out on pre-order at some Australian stores a month out, we expect launch-day stock to be tight. If you want a box at A$239.99, ring around your local stores for one with pre-orders still open, rather than waiting for release day.
