Acrylic naturally picks up dust and fingerprints over time. Cleaning it the right way keeps it crystal clear. Cleaning it the wrong way can leave fine scratches that won't come out.

For dust and smudges: never wipe acrylic dry, as dust particles can scratch the surface. Instead, lightly dampen a clean microfibre cloth (one comes with every order that includes an acrylic case) with water, or water and a drop of mild dish soap. Wipe gently in straight up-and-down strokes, then buff dry with a clean, dry part of the cloth to avoid streaks.

For stubborn marks: use a cleaner made specifically for acrylic or plastic.

Always apply cleaner to the cloth, never directly onto the acrylic. This keeps liquid away from the seams and your collectable inside, and stops cleaner sitting on the acrylic.

Avoid:

• Dry wiping, paper towels, tissues and rough cloths.
• Glass cleaners containing ammonia (like Windex). They can cloud acrylic over time.
• Solvents such as acetone, and harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• Magic erasers, scourers or anything abrasive.
