Hi, I'm Rahil, founder of ACRYLIX™, and I've been collecting Pokémon and One Piece for years.
Like a lot of you, I got hooked on sealed product. There's something about keeping a box exactly as it left the factory, untouched, and watching it hold its place in the collection over time. It's art in its own right.
But then I hit a wall.
I wanted every sealed item in my collection to have a proper home. Not just for display, but for protection when things got moved around the house. So I started buying cases online. What turned up was always inconsistent. We've all seen a booster box in an acrylic that is completely mismeasured.
That's the idea behind ACRYLIX™. Every case we make is built to dimensions we measure ourselves.
Getting here took a fair bit of trial and error. We've mismeasured. We've had tolerances come back wrong, learned the hard way what happens when acrylic is too thin, and worked out exactly how much abuse a case needs to survive between a factory and your shelf. We know more about acrylic than we ever expected to, and most of that knowledge was paid for in scrapped units.
As of today we've sold 1,807 cases, and we're only getting started. The range now covers Pokémon, One Piece, Magic the Gathering, Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Gundam Card Game, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball Super Fusion World and Riftbound.
You'll find us on shelves with The Card Hub Australia and Pop Culture Larrikin. We've set up at Hobby Hangout XL, Collector's Pit, Wanna Collect and Collect-it Con, and the best part of every one of them has been meeting likeminded collectors like yourself.
All of it has happened without a dollar spent on ads, which means every order has come from someone hearing about us from a mate, or coming back for their second, third, fourth case. That is super humbling.
The year ahead is about range and scaling up production. More TCGs, more of the odd-sized product that nobody else bothers to make a case for. If there's something in your collection sitting unprotected because the right case doesn't exist yet, tell us. That's genuinely how a lot of our products start.
