The next Pokémon Mega Evolution Set, Delta Reign, releases on 6 November 2026 and is headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex.
Mega Rayquaza EX is the main chase for the set
The Japanese equivalent set, Storm Emeralda, was released in Japan on 31 July 2026.
What is in Delta Reign?
It is ME06, the sixth main expansion of the Mega Evolution era, and it features 135 new Pokémon cards.
The set is built around 4 new Mega Evolution Pokémon: Mega Rayquaza, Mega Golurk, Mega Malamar and Mega Golisopod.
There are also split Legendary Stadium cards, which we haven't seen in the Pokémon TCG for quite some time.
When does Delta Reign release in Australia?
6 November 2026, with prereleases running 24 October to 1 November at your local game store.

What's in the Elite Trainer Box?
The elite trainer box contains:
- 9 booster packs
- A Kyogre illustration rare combno
- 65 sleeves

Is there a booster box for Delta Reign?
Yes, unlike the upcoming 30th anniversary set, Delta Reign will have a 36-pack booster box. Pricing is approximately $300 - $360 per sealed booster box. depending on where you purchase/pre-order from.
What are collectors chasing in Storm Emeralda?
One card, mostly.
Japan's Storm Emeralda is a 113-card set, 76 in the main set plus 37 secret rares, and at the top sits a single Mega Ultra Rare (MUR) Mega Rayquaza ex. PokeBeach's 4 August price survey put it at 238,000 yen, roughly US$1,587 at the time. The next card down, the Mega Rayquaza ex special illustration rare, was priced at around 82,800 yen.
Everything else in the set was much less valuable than those two cards.
Community opening data estimates the MUR at roughly one per 50 to 100 Japanese booster boxes.
Other highly sought-after cards from the Japanese set include the Groudon and Kyogre illustration rares.
What's happening with the Storm Emeralda prices?
The Storm Emeralda launch price drop has already happened and will likely continue over the coming months.
Samurai Sword Tokyo, which imports and trades this product, tracked the MUR Rayquaza at 300,000 to 350,000 yen through the first week, then down roughly 60% to about 135,000 yen A-grade asks by 19 August. Sealed Japanese boxes started at 23,000 to 25,000 yen each on day one and fell to about 16,900 yen each over the same period.

However, Rayquaza has not headlined a set since Evolving Skies in 2021 and is one of the most popular Pokémon in the TCG, meaning it could be incredibly in demand even with the 30th hype.
